All services are provided free of charge in a safe, welcoming, and confidential environment.

Our Programs & Services

Housing Stability & Homelessness Prevention

Through a combination of local funding and the Madison County Homelessness Prevention Grant, we provide emergency financial assistance to help prevent homelessness.

Services may include:

  • Rental assistance
  • Utility assistance
  • Housing stabilization support

Assistance is based on eligibility requirements and the availability of funds.

Important Information About Assistance Requests:

  • We strongly encourage individuals seeking financial assistance to call our office first, as this helps our team guide you through the process.
  • Walk-ins are welcome; however, assistance requests require documentation and follow-up.
  • Please note that assistance requests may take up to 30 days to process from the time all required paperwork is received.

Our Process

  • Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • No appointment is required for an initial visit.
  • Once required paperwork is completed, clients will be scheduled for an interview with a case manager on a future date.
  • During your scheduled meeting, a case manager will take time to review your application and financial situation, answer questions, and help you explore available assistance and additional community resources that may support your goals.
  • Processing times vary by service and funding source. Financial assistance requests may take up to 30 days to complete.

Transportation Support

Transportation can be a barrier to accessing services, employment, and other critical needs. To help reduce that barrier, we provide bus tokens to eligible clients who are actively engaging in services with our Client Service Department or our in-house partner agencies.

These supports are intended to help individuals attend appointments, pursue employment opportunities, and access essential resources that support stability and personal progress.

Showers, Laundry, and Basic Needs Services

Madison County residents are welcome to access showers, laundry services, and basic hygiene items at our facility at no cost. We aim to provide a clean, safe space where individuals can care for themselves with dignity.

  • Available Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • First come, first served
  • No appointment required

Who Is Eligible?

  • Individuals and families living in Madison County
  • Eligibility requirements vary by program and funding source
  • Financial assistance is limited and based on need, documentation, and available funding

A Note About Assistance

Due to the high number of requests we receive, we are unable to guarantee financial assistance to every individual who seeks services. What we can promise is:

  • A compassionate and respectful environment
  • Staff who will listen and help you explore available options
  • Support navigating other community resources and partner agencies
